POLIAKOV vodka makes most of O-I: EXPRESSIONS to create limited edition success

POLIAKOV, the premium, pure grain vodka, is the best-selling vodka in France. The brand found O-I : EXPRESSIONS to be its perfect partner for a limited edition. Digital printing replicated the look and feel of ice and embossed its iconic eagle onto the bottle. Click and you’re transported into augmented reality. Truly, a vodka born in the ice dimension.

POLIAKOV is a premium, pure grain vodka which has become the best-selling vodka in France. The brand found O-I : EXPRESSIONS to be its perfect partner for a limited edition heavily promoted in France over Christmas and the New Year, the peak period for vodka sales.

POLIAKOV wanted to use its proprietary embossed bottle for the limited edition. With 3D relief printing and cool colours, O-I : EXPRESSIONS replicated the look and feel of ice onto the bottle of this Christmas special. The design integrated the brand’s motto – born in the ice dimension – into the packaging itself.

The brand chose the personalisation service for its ability to treat its iconic eagle motif in multiple facets, thanks to the RELIEF print, and magnify it to create an ice eagle.

Direct digital printing on the bottle facilitates the play of transparencies, while limiting the impact on the environment (zero paper, zero plastic). O-I : EXPRESSIONS can be aesthetic and virtuous at the same time! It also enabled 360° graphics which reveal the POLIAKOV MULE cocktail recipe all around the bottle.

The brand used this limited-edition personalised design, created by ELIXIR DESIGN (France), to drive buyers to an augmented reality web experience (designed and realised by Brewster Studio) to discover the cocktail. O-I : EXPRESSIONS has mastered the art of printing QR codes, further integrating the power of augmented reality into glass packaging.
